Thesis topics and final year elective subjects

I will just give a summary of the thesis topics with the respective lecturers ( based on 1 hour interview with Pn Norima)

Prof Raveee - easy to get A

Dr Haider - Strict, high expectation ( means hard to give A ) but yet his thesis topics still popular among students

Prof Mahmood - Strict, high expectation ( not as much as Haider la ) but yet his thesis topics still popular among students

Dr Saad - He will take a leave for about 2 month next semester. So you will suffer. Nyahaha!!
Yang Soo Siang - She just said " he's ok"

Prof Nas - Easy to get A. Gunakan kecantikan anda

Dr Wan - Easy to get A. But she's always busy with her project

Faisal Rafiq - Thesis on fibre optic ( application on cables ). Recommended by Pn Norima.

Marizan Mubin - Thesis on control system. Recommended by Pn Norima

Pn Noraisyah - will cuti bersalin. Suffer la you...nyahaha!!

Dr Hamzah - Easy to get A. His thesis will be more to programming skill. Helpful

Dr Hew - He will give what you deserve

Dr Kahar - Hard to get A. High expectation (thesis on telecommunication)

Dr Rosli - study leave

Pn Norima - Study leave

Each lecturer will provide 6-10 thesis topics

I asked about the elective subjects for the upcoming semester but she said we have to ask Dr Hamzah about it since he's the coordinator for the schedule.

But she gave hints on several subjects:

Microcontroller : Prof Ravee
Microprocessor : Dr Saad ( Prof Ravee and Dr Saad may interchange the subjects)
Electronic 3 : Prof Mahmood
Display Tech : not offered
Industrial Control System : Yang Soo Siang
Micro Electronic : maybe Norhayati Soin. not sure

I'm planning to take:

1. Microcontroller
2. Microprocessor
3. Industrial Control System

Car Repair

Sent my car to the workshop last week. The mechanic do some inspection on my car. First, he test the plug cable; one of them broken. He gave it to me for free. hihi. Then, he test drive my car. The problem still occur I guess, since I didn't ride the car with him. He took out the plug, examine them and show them to me. I saw all the plugs very dirty and blacky, need to change new one lor. So he change all ( 3 plugs only) and it cost me RM20.

He test drive my car. I'm not sure but he did something on the engine. Maybe unsatisfied with the engine sound, he open the distributor. There, the problem that my old mechanic told me before. My old mechanic told me that I have to change the distributor that will cost me RM150. So I'm prepare for it!!

Suddenly he brought something in a plastic and replace it with something in the distributor. I read the label on the plastic. "Fuel Saver" God, what is that? Deadly I don't want to know. But, it must something in the distributor that were broken and can be replaced. Thanks to the old mechanic that lie to me and told me the distributor can't be repaired!!

Now, I save my RM125 and I use that money to buy a new steering.


He test drive my car again. The problem was settled. Then I ask him to adjust the clutch. He did and he claims RM15 for labor cost for all the services.

Now it was very hard to change the gear. Maybe that was because one of my finger injured during my handball practice. Thanks to the coach for the night-cannot-see-the-ball practice.

Tomorrow I need to see the handsome mechanic again to change the tires. Will ask him to re-adjust the clutch again back to the normal one.
